Health, Safety, & Environmental Policy

Alaska Pacific Powder Company employees are the Company’s most important asset. Preventing occupational injuries, illnesses and protection of the environment are of such magnitude that management will provide all the facilities and support reasonably required to ensure success.

Alaska Pacific Powder Company is committed to a health, safety and environmental management system that conforms to the best practices of our industry. HSE considerations are top priority in the planning and development of products, services and processes. We acknowledge the principle that all accidents can be prevented and actively promote the highest standards of safety awareness and performance.

Alaska Pacific Powder Company is committed to the continuous improvement process to ensure the supply of high-quality, products and services to our customers. Our objective is the prevention of all accidents, injuries, illnesses and environmental problems.

Alaska Pacific Powder Company understands the Value of working closely with our customers and contractors. This policy
requires internal cooperation in all HSE matters, not only between supervisor and employee, but also between
each employee, and customer.

Alaska Pacific Powder Company recognizes that the responsibilities for health, safety and the environment are shared:

  • Management accepts responsibility for leadership of the health, safety and environmental program, for its effectiveness and improvement and for providing training required to ensure safe, environmentally responsible conditions.

  • Supervisors are responsible for developing proper attitudes towards health, safety and the environment and directing employees toward this goal. Supervisors are personally responsible and accountable to ensure that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the health and safety of personnel and protection of the environment.

  • All employees are responsible and accountable to comply with this program. Ultimately, safe operations begin with a good attitude and the willingness to make the program work.
